About the Artist

I grew up with a strong connection to creating art.  I always had a notebook handy and spent many hours drawing, coloring and painting in it. In high school I earned the Art Achievement Award given to the student that showed the most dedication and talent in the field of art. My high school art teacher insisted I would be an amazing art teacher. With her encouragement, I attended the University of Vermont and received my Art Education degree.

After college I got a corporate job for 9 years and took a break from any formal art creation. It wasn't until my early 30s, after my second child, that I was drawn back into the art world. I took an art adult education class and mentored under a local artist. I found a small studio in a building with other artists and I am forever grateful for my continued exposure and inspiration from this community of creators.
